Description: A good one pint measure, by M Fothergill & Sons of Bristol, England who worked 1793 - 1835. The measure has straight sided body with low fillet and stands on a slightly flared and heavily stepped foot with a single curve handle. The inner base is marked with the makers mark along with a crowned X, and to the left of the handle are the four maker's hallmarks. Below the hallmarks is a clear IMPERIAL label. Ownership initials TCM are stamped in large clear letters. The single verification mark is for Somerset County. Provenance: Albert Bartram collection. Condition: Excellent condition with a lightly polished silver grey finish and some traces of light oxide. Repairs: There are no repairs that I could detect. Size: Height to rim: 5.00 in (13.00cm).
