Description
Antique English pewter one gallon ale jug with large swans neck handle with heal terminal; the jug is un-lidded with a large spout. The jug has a tapering body with a mid fillet and stands on a flared and stepped foot.There are large ownership initials AC engraved to the body along with a crowned WR verification mark, (William III ale standard).
Circa 1780.
The condition is outstanding with no damage and a fine polished silver grey finish.
There are no makers marks that I can read, although there are faint traces inside the base.
