Description
A good pair of antique Dutch pewter beakers decorated with panels of floral design in wriggle work. The beakers are of typical tapering form standing on a stepped foot. There is a clear 'rose and crown' makers mark to the base with the date 1751 and the initials IN. There are also ownership initials 'DI' stamped close to the maker's mark. The floral decoration is most attractive with a simple naive charm.Circa 1750.
The condition is excellent with a lightly polished silver grey finish and slight traces of oxide. There is a small split on one of the rims (see image).
