Description
A fine antique Jersey pewter lidless measure of 'noggin capacity.The collar is struck to the right of the handle with ‘crown GR’ capacity mark of 'type C' used 1790 - 1830.
The handle is of 'type a' with a 'blind' hinge boss.
The measure is in excellent condition with a lightly polished silver grey finish.
There are no makers marks.
Circa 1800.
