Description
Antique English pewter Inkstand or Standish with two hinged flaps, one side with three compartments for the original inkwell, sand sprinkler and wafer; the other side is a full length compartment for pens.The lid has been engraved with two banded lines around the outside and numerous old scratched initials.
The condition is excellent with a polished silver finish; there is an old repair to the hinge.
