Description:
A fine tureen of large size with a domed lid, a pair of handles all standing on four elegant splayed feet. Both the body of the tureen and the lid are engraved with the arms of The Worshipful Company of Pewterers; suggesting that this was used for table service in Pewterers Hall.
These Arms were granted to the Worshipful Company in 1533 and have remained in use until today.

This tureen is possibly unique and of some historical importance to the Worshipful Company.

Circa 1790.

Condition:
Excellent condition with a polished silver grey finish and some small traces of light oxide mainly to the underside.

Repairs: There are no repairs that I could detect.

Lid opening: 12.00in x 9.00in (30.50cm x 22.50cm).

There are no makers marks.

A fine pair of English pewter candlestands of Georgian 'teardrop' design standing of large circular flared bases.

Circa 1820.

The condition is excellent with a fine polished silver grey finish. There is a small old repair to the lip at the top of one of the stands (see image). Both of the stands have their original pushers in full working order.

A good Georgian tea caddy of oval form with beading to the upper and lower rims, the lid is slightly domed and has a large finial. There is a lead presser that was used to keep the contents from drying out. On the base there is a faint set of hallmarks that are attributed to the unknown maker R P, who worked around 1780.

Circa 1780.

The condition is excellent with a lightly polished silver grey finish and slight traces of oxide. There are no repairs. The back of the caddy shows clear signs of regular use, maybe on a shelf or counter where it has been pushed against a wall or similar.

Description:
A small table salt standing on an octagonal base with a circular salt bowl. Both the base and the bowl have gadroon decoration. The salt is probably of French origin although Dutch origin can not be ruled out.

Condition:
Good condition with a unpolished grey oxide finish, there is a very small hole to the bowl caused by salt corrosion.
